Just in caase you do not know
Code:

ifconfig eth0 down
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1
ifconfig eth0 up

Just renember that if you'r ip is assigined via dhcp then you can not change the ip and need to have acess to the dhcp server if you relly need to change the ip.
