I just came across a strange problem with my Logitech cordless keybord. As there is no software to determine the battery state for it in Linux I just wait till it starts to play up and change the batteries.
Well this time it played up good and proper. It played dead. No amount of battery changing or prodding would bring it back to life. I thought "oh well I've gotten 3 1/2 years out of it, I'll just get a new one"
But I decided to go back to the doc's and website to see if there might be a solution. Low and behold, I just redid the syncornization routine - push connect button on reciever, then push connect button on kb - and it sprung back to life
So my question is, anyone else have this problem and what do you do to keep track of your battery status on a pure Linux system? |
