I have traveled to and fro looking for an answer to my problems. I am beginning to think my usb ports do not work. I have loaded the dc2xx, usb-uhci, usbcore, usb-storage (this should not be needed) and any other usb module that anyone ever mentions but cannot get the camera to work. It is not detected. I also used mknod according to the instructions on linux-usb.org. dmesg shows usb ports and the camera driver, /proc/bus/usb/drivers shows the driver, the kernel log shows the driver but /proc/bus/usb/devices does not show the camera.
Anyone have any clues what is wrong. On another machine using suse 8 eval cd it worked.
Thanks, _________________ Hope this helps!
