eth0 is not plugged in or no carrier signal...

rc-update add net.eth0 default


it says on bootup that eth0 not plugged in, and then that netmount and sshd are not started.

however, I log in and do: "dhcpcd eth0" and it works fine.

what's the deal

The latest baselayout package is buggy, see https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33272 for ways to fix the problem.
