I have GFXMODE set to 1024x768x32, and PAYLOAD to Keep. GRUB loads fine with the correct resolution, but when kernel is booting the resolution changes to 1600x900 (which is the maximum resolution supported by the monitor). I am not sure what is causing this change, anyone have any insights? |

Isn't the maximum possible native resolution the correct one in most cases? At least with LCD monitors. |

Do you get the desired result if you pass the kernel parameters directly using video= ? that might help check it is grub rather than a kernel/other issue. |
