Since an upgrade of several Qt related packages the day before yesterday, amarok refuses to play any audio files. The output of $ amarok --debug-audio is here: https://bpaste.net/show/9696f61383c7
The problem seems to me that phonon can't load any of the backends because they use an 'incompatible Qt library'.
Things I already tried:
- Using phonon-4.9.1, results in the same error message. After reverting to 4.9.0 emerge wants to rebuild loudmouth (which is a dependency of amarok), which fails with an error message I can't completely make sense of.
emerge --info: http://bpaste.net/show/365369fc5a16 ; emerge -pqv: http://bpaste.net/show/9d3a64b1d7ad ; buildlog: http://bpaste.net/show/917b237dd668 ; ebuild-environment: http://bpaste.net/show/0da9b8fa6c9c ;
- Creating a symlink from /usr/lib64/kde4/plugins/phonon_backend to /usr/lib64/kde4/plugins/phonon_platform, this removes the error: "bool Phonon::FactoryPrivate::createBackend() "/usr/lib64/kde4/plugins/phonon_backend" does not exist " but doesn't do anything otherwise.
- revdep-rebuild
Amarok is the only application (that I have found so far) that refuses to play audio, also amarok itself looks different than it used to which is probably something with Qt aswell. I have qt-4.8.7 and qt-5.6.2 installed.
I also wanted to try to revert to qt 4.8.6, but I haven't figured out how to get emerge to do that yet. I tried adding =dev-qt/*-4.8.7* to package.mask but emerge complains that it is an invalid atom.

Probably the compilation problem is related at gnutls update.
Try to unmask net-libs/loudmouth-1.5.3.

If work you can open a new bug (if not exists)

loudmouth version 1.5.2-r1 works fine, I reported bug for version 1.4.3-r2 at: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=619362
Amarok still fails to play any audio files though

Re-emerging phonon-vlc seemed to fix the problem for me.

I re-emerged phonon-kde phonon-gstreamer and phonon-vlc
