|
|
Ok I finally have gentoo running of my hard disk but when I try to mount the cd 2 by typing Code: | mount -t is09660 /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom | I keep getting this error message stating mount: mount point /mnt/cdrom does not exist. How can I correct that?
Also, do I have to copy anything from cd2 to install KDE or is the emerge kde fine by itself? Also if I emerge kde do I get the browsers and everthing aswell? |

Read again:
/mnt/cdrom does not exist
try mkdir /mnt/cdrom ?
You could emerge whole kde from scratch or install it from cd2.
The documentation explain it clearly![/quote] _________________ Carpe Diem |

Just copy the bunch of packages into your /usr/portage/distfiles dir, and emerge -k any package that you like....
The manual explains clearly how this is done !! www.gentoo.org -> Docs -> Gentoo 1.4 Installation Guide |
