Congrats! Finally, after your RAM-failure odyssey. ;)

Yeah, that was crazy. It was new RAM, too. At least it failed while I could still return it to Amazon.

I've since finished a build on a dual 2.0Ghz G5 w/ a 2TB drive. That was interesting due to the mac-fdisk on the CD not supporting large drives.

Not to be content with only 64bit, I'm currently building on a 1.67Ghz 17" PowerBook G4 I recently picked up (like new!) for $25. This is with the latest 32bit PPC stage3, http://distfiles.gentoo.org/releases/ppc/autobuilds/current-stage3-ppc/stage3-ppc-20170321.tar.bz2 . The stage3 seems to be good so far.

How did your Powerbook build go? I recently picked one up, also, for $20. I was contemplating netbooting Gentoo on it.

However this one looks like it was used as a shield in a stabbing attack. Also, my attempts at soldering in a new LiPO for the RTC were mixed, as it only lasts for 2 days with the power unplugged. Too stingy to buy a new battery for it... Yay for old hardware!
