Hi,
Again me.
well this time there is a problem with the network
When I installed the first time gentoo I started from the stage 3 and did not do update the sources when installed
I had to reinstall everything from stage 3 again and decided (according to the manual) to add
CONFIG_PROTECT="-* /etc/make.conf" emerge -u system
And apparently something got changed because now when I start after the install I get a couple errors at the end.
Code:

*Starting USA and PCI hotplugging
Cannot get config descriptor 0 Broken Pipe (32)
*Bringing eth0 ip...
*eth0 is not plugged in or has no carrier signal
*Error problem starting needed services
*"netmount" was not started

I know for sure that eth0 is plugged in and has signal because I just installed everything

Also, my motherboars is a LEADTEK winfast K7NCR18G-PRO with the nvidia nforce2 chip and sound and graphic chip integrated.

Does someone has some tips...??????

Thanks a bunch....

Ok now the module loads properly
When I do lsmod I can see nvnet

But I still get the errors messages that I wrote before

However, if I do dhcpcd eth0
and then a ping, then the network is funcional
Moreover the file in /etc/conf.d/net contains

iface_eth0="dhcp"

So I think I am lost because I thought that iface_eth0="dhcp" was doing the same thing as dhcpcd eth0

So if somebody as a way to do automaticaly iface_eth0="dhcp" let me know

Thanks a lot
