Hey,

I can't get the Intel 5 Series/3400 Series audio device working.

I made it work by adding

Code:

options snd-hda-intel model=auto probe_mask=1


to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf.

I thought i solved it, but now the sound works for a while after reboot and then it suddenly stops for no reason. After next reboot the same.

Any ideas about this?

Weird is that the sound over head phones is working never the less. I also tetsted Windows now and it's the same, so it seems to be a hardware bug. I think I'll send the laptop back.
