Along with my diskspace issues I'm trying to do some partition table work. Windows was pissing me off so I killed my ntfs partition...hehe. But now I'm regretting it. Is it going to be safe reinstalling windows or will it fuk up my linux install like I have heard so many stories about? I really don't want to have to take all that time that I don't have to restart gentoo from scratch. What do you think? |

Windows will over-write the bootloader portion of your gentoo install, so unless you mada a boot disk floppy you will not be able to boot into linux. The easiest way would be for you to edit the windows bootloader to boot into linux. I remeber seeing several articals that discussed how to do this back when i dual booted. Google should be able to help you there. Good luck. _________________ Long live the gentoo forums!!!!! |

A note to all of you out there...be careful when playing with partitions. I just wiped out my entire hard drive. Well here we go again from the top. |
