|

After a recent emerge world, handbrake stopped working and repeatedly reports:
[17:28:17] decavcodec: hb_audio_resample_update() failed
[17:28:17] decavcodec: hb_audio_resample_update() failed
[17:28:17] decavcodec: hb_audio_resample_update() failed
Which seems to be an issue with handbrake and newer ffmpeg according to the following link:
https://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/7928
Any suggestions? Would switching to the 9999 version resolve this? If so what do I need to do (I tried adding it to package.unmask but apparently didn't do it right as it still wants to emerge the current version). |

Usually, -9999 versions are not package.mask'd; they are keyword-blocked. I don't know if using that version will solve your problem, but if you want to use it, remove your package.unmask entry and add media-video/handbrake ** (yes, double star) to /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords. |
