|
|
Hi, I'm just playing around with the vanilla kernels to get the feeling back as I hadn't compiled any kernel since a few years ago.
So, I was wondering if there is any patch to apply to the lastest stable vanilla (4.13.1 as I write) to transform it into a gentoo-kernel,
Or otherwise any interesting patch worth trying...
This is no production environment and have a nice custom gentoo kernel already running (4.11 something).
Thanks ! _________________ --

runlevel0,
If you want to do it the hard way the patches are at https://dev.gentoo.org/~mpagano/genpatches/tarballs/
The easy way is Code: | emerge gentoo-sources | so portage does it for you.
Notice that there are usually three patch sets per kernel. _________________ Regards,

YEAAAAH! Thanks!
That's exactly what I wanted.
As I commented I have a stable and nice custom monolithic kernel but I want to refresh myself a bit patching a kernel, unpatching it back just for the sake of it.
