Hehe yeah
I'm still not sure there's a need for a shell script, after all that's why we like Gentoo (isn't it?) - just to implement that progress bar that will monitor the work directory of the build and measure how many files have been built / how many left to go. That would be nice.
It seems he hasn't learnt the joys of USE flags yet and doesn't know links has an X11 mode _________________ Gentoo/AMD64, shell-tools, net-mail, vim, recruiters

Somebody should let him know about USE flags. _________________ Want Free games?

He's right about the fact that much of the Stage 1 stuff could be automated. There could be a simple option like, "To configure the installation yourself, type 1; to automatically install with the most common features, type 2." _________________ I suck at signatures. |

I had already sent an email regarding his trouble with links before I checked the gentoo games forum. In his reply, he said that he had received a lots of help on the topic. He credited the flood of email help to the great community and technology of gentoo. |

Nothin "funny" about it.
Its in recognition of two entities that try hard to make Linux a Decent gaming platform
Both deserve kudos for some truely excellent work. _________________ 2800+XP A7N8X FX6600GT

In an ideal world, sure. But in reality, its quite obvious to see that promoting winex would reduce the development of native linux games.
Anyway, this has been argued extensively elsewhere, so I dont' want to start anything here thanks. _________________ :: Project Gotham |

um.... Looking around on his website reminded me of that funny game jump & bump
Why on earth does every game have a "dedicated" USE flag? i mean, i'm not really going to run a dedicated jump and bump server any time soon. Or even a dedicated pathological, come to think of it. What's the deal? _________________ I am SPAM, hear me roar.
