Hello everyone! I'm a new user to Gentoo, I was wondering if hcitool is still included with Gentoo's versions of Bluez or if I have to enable deprecated somehow while compiling bluez(and if so, how can I do that?)
I need the hcitool for QTSIXA, but I don't use a normal version of QTSIXA - I use a modified version that works with fake PS3 controllers as well as real ones. github.com/supertypo/qtsixa
If anyone has any info on QTSIXA on gentoo, I would greatly appreciate it!

kenny_w,
hcitool is hidden behind the deprecated USE flag.
That not a USE flag that should be set globally. _________________ Regards,

ohh ok good to know! Is it just for BLUEZ or is it for BLUEZ-TOOLS? I assume its just for BLUEZ but maybe I'm wrong.
I just add a USE flag in package.use for bluez? That's all I have to do?! Thank you very much Neddy!
I've got one more question if you don't mind, I'm curious why I can't install blueman, it says gnome-bluetooth is blocking it. Can I not have both on the same system? |

There are no USE flags on bluez-tools ...
blueman and gnome-bluetooth probably install some of the same files, so its not possible to have them both installed at the same time.
Portage would not know how/when to uninstall any common files.
There may be comments in te ebuilds that tell more. _________________ Regards,

Oohhh I see, Thanks again Neddy! I'll mark this as solved...
I've got an issue with qt5ct if you'd like to help me solve it!
You've probably already seen the post though, as you seem to be all-seeing & all-knowing
