Hello,

Currently, I have selected patched powerline font ubuntu mono in my .Xresources. My problem is some parts of my rxvt-unicode doesn't use the font ubuntu mono
but use some other unknown font. When I use non patched fonts everything works fine.

Here's a screenshot of irssi on my terminal with patched powerline font, notice the difference between usernames and messages https://i.imgur.com/EOTSxbJl.png
Another screenshot with ls output, notice the difference between directory and file names https://imgur.com/kiESYw6l.png

and my .Xresources https://dpaste.de/TgBO

Please let me know what am I missing here.

Moondhum, confused me here because I can't see the issue did you include any screenshots of rxvt or urxvt as well so we could see what THAT looks like?

Or if you did, already then I'm sorry. I actually didn't know that the .Xresources file could be used in this way, sounds like a great use of the "resource" ha ha.

I am not sure if this will help you, but from what you describe the issue seems to exist between the multiple moving parts of a terminal, the fonts, and the X11 environment. What have you tried thus far? The .Xresources file may be ok in other words, so please share what else you think may be responsible or if no idea, then which other fonts have you tried successfully to implement so far?

If it's only with that font then maybe you can try Nerd fonts, https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts
I'm also using Ubuntu font and it works fine.
Code:
URxvt.font: xft:UbuntuMono Nerd Font Mono:regular:pixelsize=16
URxvt.boldFont: xft:UbuntuMono Nerd Font Mono:bold:pixelsize=16
URxvt.italicFont: xft:UbuntuMono Nerd Font Mono:italic:pixelsize=16
URxvt.boldItalicFont: xft:UbuntuMono Nerd Font Mono:bold:italic:pixelsize=16
