Hello, I have a laptop with Nvidia Optimus. I would like to know if it is possible to use Optimus the way it works on Windows. As far as I know bumblebee is deprecated and incompatible with recent nvidia-drivers.
Right now I'm using Nvidia with PRIME and PRIME Synchronization, which seems to work fine. I suppose the Nvidia card is on at all times, because when I unplug the computer the 3D performance lowers a lot, to the point where I can't even scroll a webpage smoothly. The card being on all the time doesn't bother me that much but the really bad performance does. |

Do you have PRIME? Do you have modesetting on? (nvidia-dri.modeset=1 in your command line) Is your Intel card your primary device? |
