|
|
hi
so far I have always been able to reload iptables rules on a machine I'm connected via ssh to, and that was done without current ssh connection being interrupted.
as I have migrated from kernel 4.4.112 to 4.14.14, each time I reload iptables, ssh connection is dropped.
where should I search for the change in this behavior?
thank you. _________________ gentoo user |

I'd start by ensuring there are no rules that may affect your ssh connection...
Does simply flushing the tables cause problems? _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

What are your exact steps resulting in reload?
Do you have some intermediate, failsafe stage there?
Also, "connection drops" means "it resets and I reconnect" or "it resets and I can't reconnect", or maybe something else? |
