Hi!
I have a very problematic error with the installation of Gentoo 1.4
I have a 56k connection, so I can choose only to install from stage3. When i use
| Code: | emerge sys-hernel/gentoo-sources
!!!Invalid binary package linux-2.4.20....
[then emerge tries to download it, but I have no connection]
|
I don't have the kernel sources package on my gentoo-cd1, neither on my cd-2..
I have other sources, like 2.6.0-test7, but i don't have the 2.4.20......
How can I do to force emerge to use the 2.6 sources?
Without this package it can't do nothing.
EVERY emerge command i've tried falls in the same error.

| you can also use *emerge gentoo-dev-sources*, i think it's a version of the 2.6.0 kernel optimized for gentoo or something like this... |
