im trying to emerge gnome2
but it fails on the gtk+-2.0.5-r2 lib
it erroring out when looking for
/usr/portage/distfiles/gtk+-directfb-2.0.5-gentoo.patch.bz2
???
can someone help me out? |

I have got the same error message from the "emerge gnome" command.
And here is the error message :

The error is with gtk, not with gnome. =) (Cap'n Obvious steps back into the shadows, where he belongs)
You might try an emerge rsync- but since two of you are having what looks like the exact same problem with the exact same file it doesn't look like it's gonna help. |

Just download the gtk+-directfb-2.0.5-gentoo.patch.bz2 package from a gentoo mirror and placed it into the distfiles directory.
It works fine.
