Looks moderately interesting, but the manufacturer's Web site only lists it for Windows 10 and Macbook Air. It requires a driver, so I'd have to see it working with Gentoo in order to take it seriously. Amazon UK is listing it today for GBP 59.19, which is too expensive to risk buying and trying. Furthermore, it appears from the manufacturer's Web site that the best performance is in Windows rather than a Mac:

Touchscreen mods were a common thing on the eee701, circa 2007. Those were real touchscreens using standard HID drivers, not winperipherals like this. The novelty wears off after a while.
I'm amused they couldn't even figure out how to get this to work on Mac OS, people would be up in arms if things like those high end Cintiq art tablet screens didn't work on it. Sign of a terribly engineered proprietary driver protocol. |

Makes me wonder if its in the same ballpark as those items (digital cameras...ect) which use proprietary connector adapter over USB. Isn't writing a proprietary driver for the touch screen device akin reinventing the wheel. |
