Hello,
I have been focusing on trying to get my new laptop to run as long as possible. Most of the time i'm just logging into other machines or browsing the web so I see no reason I shouldn't be able to enjoy a long battery life on it. Currently I believe i'm getting maybe a little over 3 hours battery life out of my machine. However I don't pay super close attention to it and sometimes it gets plugged in for a little bit as I'm working making it hard to figure out what my actual battery drain is. I am familiar with laptop_tools, upower, and powertop however none of them really provide a nice graph that I can look at and see how my actual battery did over the day. Does anyone know of some nice software that will do this? I was starting to think about writing my own that would log some info about the system such as CPU Freq / Display Brightness / On AC or not / Current battery percent / possibly top 3 processes every X amount of time to a log and use some simple graph library to let me look at it. However I'm guessing someone already did this. |

Moved from Off the Wall to Gentoo Chat, as requested. _________________ Many think that Dilbert is a comic. Unfortunately it is a documentary. |
