ok i just got done emerge-update (think thats it) and it took like 2 hours for it to update portage and the other stuff  here is where im lost..
what do i do now i think im on instalation step 15 but i cant figure out where im suppose to restart to continue loading

it depends on the type of install you are doing,
for instance i did a stage 2 install so the thing did after updating the portage tree was to emerge -u system
this will take longer than 2 hours.... |

| i did a stage 3 install but now im upto *genkernel* part dont know how long this part is suppose to take but it is taking its time |
