You should post also build.log with wgetpaste

Code:
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/6.4.0/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: out of memory allocating 2337137800491592805 bytes after a total of 602112 bytes

It seems a out of memory problem.
Try to compile with MAKEOPTS="-j1" or add a temporary swap file

Hello.

Indeed, this looks like a very very BIG amount of memory!..
Maybe you could try and recompile binutils (for ld) then retry compiling pango.

That is a very suspicious number. Reprinting it in hex gives: 206F2E7265706C65. That looks like all printable characters. Reinterpreting it as ASCII gives: o.reple. Perhaps some size variable became corrupted by a string overrun.
