|
|
I found this page from 2009, which outlines how to create custom functions to move windows between two separate X screens. I have a dual monitor setup, each with its own instance of FVWM. However, while I can get the functions to appear on my menu, I can't get them actually to work. Maybe how FVWM does this has changed in the last … uh, nine years?
Can you help me get these working properly?
Cheers,

Is "xinerama" flag enabled for FVWM?
You can check the FVWM output for warning/errors. |

Before trying to make the functions work, I should ask: can you manually move a window between the two monitors? If the window cannot cross X screens even manually, I doubt you will get the window manager to do it. My experience with multi-monitor fvwm has always been to use one fvwm to manage all screens. |
