default desktop environment for desktop profile 17

Hi,

I have finished installing packages for the desktop profile 17. I am trying to find out if there is a default desktop environment / window manager other than X that can be used. What command I 'll need to use and what changes to to settings / config files will have to be done.

There is no default, you make your choice.

Yes, but took a while as I couldn't find a consolidated documentation. Had to find out what specifically to add against VIDEO_CARDS in make.conf for the hardware, installed x-org server and have got openbox installed and running.
