That makes a lot of sense.

I mean if you are complaining, especially if you feelascii art is needed to make your point, at LEAST be specific to a person instead of giving us all the finger.
It completely undermines the message you are trying to convey.

Sorry man, but whether you are for OR against a certain system/technology, it's still quite pathetic to spend so much time to just annoy people.
I have seen 0 valuable contributions from you. All it was pointing fingers and complaining and throw oil on the fire whenever possible.
This forum will be better off when you find new rock to kick. This not ill/mean intended. I honestly believe you have issues if you think this is good way to spend your time.

Well, fact is: the more I follow this thread, the more I wonder why so many people feel the urge to keep inserting coins in the jukebox!
Being strong minded is OK, but considering others are fools (at best) if they don't share one' s opinion is just a mistake.

"Play it again, Sam" (no jukebox in the piano bar ^^)

Well, freedom of speech and the right to have your own opinion should not be contested.

However, there is also smart and stupid, educated and uneducated, good and evil, right and wrong. You can have your own stupid uneducated opinion supporting evil principles. But if you come public with such an opinion you can't stop other people from pointing it out.

Freedom of speech applies under governments. Some more than others.
There is no freedom of speech in Gentoo namespace. Users that want to express stupid uneducated opinions supporting evil principles may find themselves moderated.

Who determines what are "stupid uneducated opinions" and which principles are evil?

Who determines what are "stupid uneducated opinions" and which principles are evil?

Not you. Here's some advice: when you (plural) provoke a reply like that from Neddy of all people, it's time to stfu.

So let me get this straight. Your last post was almost three months ago, and you didn't find any other topic important enough to log in and post again, except this one. You ascribe an insult posted by one user to the entire group posting about the topic. You then proceed to further damn the group, somehow conflating the one insult to the propensity of sending death threats, particularly relating to an instance that you yourself admitted had questionable validity. To top it all off, you end by throwing stones in glass houses - invalidating any point you had by engaging in, to use your description, "vituperation and vicious vitriol" behaviour, to a degree I would say goes far beyond the original insult that prompted this diatribe in the first place.

Well you certainly showed us I guess.

Team,

Since this thread appears to have no possibility of getting back on topic and is no longer suitable for Gentoo Chat, its locked.
I did consider a move to OTW and even a split but there is no clear split point.

We already have too many systemd topics that have ended this way.

-- edit --

This lock need not be permanent but it needs a volunteer to make an on topic post for the lock to be removed.
