I've been subscribed to the gentoo-user mailing list for almost a year. When I tried to post this morning, I got a failure notice from gentoo.org's qmail daemon saying that only subscribers could post. I thought it was a fluke. I tried to post something again a little bit ago, and it did the same thing, so I re-subscribed. Has this happened to anyone else? |

Well, I got a bounce yesterday and after that, I'm not getting any e-mails from @gentoo.org in my gmx.net account. Anyone else having this problem or similar?
Thanks,
Norberto |

This is a different issue than the one that I originally posted about. I manually connected to the server and was issuing SMTP commands to try and figure out what was wrong. It appears that the server's hostname is smtp.gentoo.org and it is set to only accept mail to smtp.gentoo.org, not just gentoo.org. I sent an email to gentoo-user@smtp.gentoo.org yesterday. It didn't get bounced, but it also never showed up back in my Inbox. |

The list server is currently down, it was bouncing mail for a while. List mail is now redirected to another server and queued there until the real list server is fixed. |

My server is on a partial T1, but my workstation where I download the mail to is connected via PPP to that server with a 33.6 connection |
