Hi, all,
Anyone else experiencing lagging only in the forums?
Every other Gentoo site I visit comes right up - wikis, handbook, talk pages - only the forums are lagging, and extremely slowly, oftentimes taking me 2 or 3 reloads before they load at all.
I'm going to check my router just in case something hokey is going on - but I've tried 20 other sites, and except for Duck Duck Go, everything else loaded fine too - and as for Duck Duck Go, well, I figured it might have had something to do with the fact that I am using Google Wifi mesh system, and it doesn't like DDG

Wasn't my mesh router, my switch, nor my cable modem. I reset all three, even though I had no issues with my laptop in access, once I powered it on and checked.
Apparently it was my ... Gentoo Live USB?
For whatever reason, it was being stupid - I had already cleared the cache in Firefox as well as logged out and back in - no go.
Only after rebooting with the Live USB again did my desktop start working.
*shrug* I t had been on since last night, as I was away from my computer most of the day today, so ... maybe it went stupid? I dunno.
sites like Google and CNN were working perfectly, but the forums (and only the forums) were lagging immensely. after I tried the log out though all Gentoo.org sites were lagging, as well as duck duck go, and more than a couple others, and about 1/3 of all google search links lagged almost endlessly, while others loaded without an issue.
After reboot, I set up Firefox again with sync, and then loaded about 70 bookmarks - all loaded perfectly fine.
Anyhoo, solved, for he nonce.
