[Solved]Questions to maintainers for the forums query result

Hallo forums maintainers.
I am rather new as an active Gentoo member.
But with the forum's support I was able to receive a rather nice running Gentoo systems. So, thank you for that.

Anyway, I have some strange results, when I search, when I query for some keywords or phrases within your forums homepage.
E.g. when I enter haveged I receive 101 results and I have checked some of the listed results. But the keyword I searched for,
was not mentioned on all the page (I tested with one page results only).

The same happens, when I do an 'extended' search'. Not really matching articles are listed here.
So, could you tell me pls, do I make a mistake?
Or could you check by yourself pls?

I think, searching and finding matching results for one or more keywords, is one of the very best solutions to prevent twice or more asking for the same topic,
which has been discussed here before.

Hi linuxfluesterer,

Forum search is well known to be, shall we say, non-optimal. We're actually running on a really old version of phpBB but are working a plan to upgrade. My understanding is that the search function is somewhat better in contemporary phpBB.

Google, however, is excellent. Try searching for:

[Jaglover]

I wouldn't mention Google and "excellent" in the same sentence ... anyhow, same syntax works with other search engines.
