|
|
Ok, the other day i was just browsing around my computer when I went to look in the /boot area and noticed that the grub folder was no longer there... which is strange because my computer boots totally fine. I also checked to see if for some reason they were hidden, but that wasn't the case.
I can simple just emerge grub again and it will make the folders show up again with the proper grub.conf and everything... but when i boot up again and look in the /boot directory the grub folders are gone again.
Anyone know what's going on? |

It sounds like your /boot partition is not mounted and you're looking the the /boot directory. Try and see what's there. /boot is not mounted automatically by default in gentoo. |

no reason to be ashamed, but I must admit that this is a true classic. Maybe this should be mentioned in the faq or install docs... |
