Out of curiosity, I'm wondering if anyone knows if the below package installs the *latest* 396.54 driver when emerging? That latest nvidia vulkan driver includes some pretty substantial improvements for gaming. The latest version being offered by Nvidia is 396.54.09-1.

I'm *thinking* it does pull in the latest when looking at the build, but I can't be sure. Any thoughts? _________________ *Fortitudo, aequitas, fidelitas.* |

Check /usr/portage/distfiles, anything downloaded will be stored here Code: | ls -l /usr/portage/distfiles/NVIDIA* |
Short of that delete NVIDIA* from distfiles and force a re-download of the latest version, that way of you have a stale version that isn't being md5 checked you bypass it. |
