|

I am using the modesetting driver configuration on my bumblebee setup.
Sometimes, it takes a really long time to log into my system via lightdm. There is a pause of a few seconds after I sign in.
When I unplug my charger or restart my i3wm, sometimes my system starts lagging.
These issues were not present, when I was exclusively using the Nvidia driver. _________________ [19:18] <@NeddySeagoon> Gentoo has an installer. Just like other distros. Go to the bathroom, look in the mirror. You will see the Gentoo installer |

I switched from my Optimus configuration to bumblebee so I can save battery. But it seems like under bumblebee, I am draining the battery on my laptop faster than I did when I was using Optimus. _________________ [19:18] <@NeddySeagoon> Gentoo has an installer. Have you checked if Bumblebee its stopping the Nvidia device or not? You can check this with "cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch"
Is there any message over the logs or dmesg with any errors regarding Nvidia? Like if BB is not able to change the device states or something like that. |
