Call of Duty wine issue

I have (after weeks of running it) only just noticed that the player name popup for members of the same team when you move the crosshair over them is not displayed in wine. I only just noticed as I dont run windows and I saw it on a friends computer.

Is anyone else having this issue?
Has anyone been able to fix it?
If you are not having this issue could you post your wine version etc?

All other elements of the HUD seem to be displayed correctly, other "popups" such as "use mg42" work correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.

yep I have the same problem,I thought it was a cod setting at first but it turns out to be a wine(x) bug. I use winex 3.2 and ya names dont show up. It is annoying
