|
|
I decided to migrate from another distro and to my surprise luks2 "isn't supported" on the live cd or on an actual environment.
I tried searching everywhere on the wiki to no avail, the only reference to luks2 is in the ebuild file for cryptsetup but its commented out.
I still managed to get my system up and running because I haven't ported my root from my previous install but I'm without my other drives.
Is there a kernel option or some other thing I'm missing?
The USE options for cryptsetup are "kernel -gcrypt"

sys-fs/cryptsetup versions 2.0.5 and higher are in the tree, however they are unstable. luks2 was introduced in version 2.0. Armed with this knowledge you should be able to find the solution so it is left as an exercise for the reader _________________ First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
Apologies if I take a while to respond. I'm currently working on the dematerialization circuit for my blue box. |
