|
|
Hello,
Last year I used Bobwya’s wine overlay for a while and then switched back to the Gentoo version, but it appears I didn’t do it properly.
Now every time there is a wine update, it fails at the end and I have to update the links myself.
Here is what eselect-wine tells me:
Code: |
$ sudo eselect wine show
Active wine version:
(unset)
$ sudo eselect wine list
Available wine versions:
[1] wine-staging-4.0
$ sudo eselect wine set 1
!!! Error: Missing listing of include symlinks
|
Does someone know how to fix that? |

same problem here...

Hi folks,
To switch overlays it is best to purge all your current Wine packages and remove the Wine eselect module data, see:
Github bobwya/bobwya: Wiki Wine Packages
See specifically the Wiki section:
Are the ::bobwya Overlay Wine Packages compatible with the ::gentoo and/or ::wine Overlay Wine Packages?

Maybe a "eselect wine update --all" could fix it for you |

Hey, thanks for answering :)
Unfortunately "eselect wine update --all" didn’t work. So I tried to uninstall everything wine-related as explained in BobWya’s wiki:
Code: |
$ sudo emerge -cv wine-staging virtual/wine app-emulation/winetricks wine-mono wine-gecko
$ sudo rm -r /etc/eselect/wine
|
And then reinstalled wine:
Code: |
$ sudo emerge wine-staging winetricks
|
And this time no error at the end of the install, and eselect wine seems to work fine! |
