PBM: seamonkey open message in new tab reopens left panel

Hi again.

I don't know what causes this: seamonkey mail now opens the left pane (i.e. my message accounts mail folder lists) in a new tab whenever I want to open a message in a new tab. I've tried using seamonkey mail with another system user account and it works. However I'd rather not clean all my seamonkey profile and redo everything (profile, identities, keys, colours, settings...) that really sucks.

Does anyone happen to know what I could do/clean/clear/delete to restore the original behaviour?
