Hi,
When i exit my WM which is i3 and quit X back to the CLI, my terminal screen has the below message continually scrolling down the screen:
Code: |
/proc/self/exe: /usr/lib64/libcurl.so.4: no version information available (required by /proc/self/exe)
|
any ideas on what could be the issue? my system seems to be working fine apart from this message.
Thanks |

You have a program that executed itself through /proc/self/exe, but its linkage to curl is incorrect. What programs do you run under your X session? Are any of them precompiled downloads? Do you see any process running with that as its name? If so, what executable is behind it? |

At the time I had open:
Spotify
Ranger
Chromium
It looks like Spotify is the culprit in this scenario as if I quit X without Spotify I don’t see the issue, is there a way to fix the curl link for Spotify? |

Yes, but it might be a violation of their EULA to do so. Your best bet is to report it to them and get them to fix it. |
