Firefox + PulseAudio = No sound

I use a compiled version of Firefox built with the ebuild provided, and when I use PulseAudio Firefox doesn't output sound. I have to use pure ALSA, but I am more familiar with Pulse.

I just read in another thread where a user was having an issue, he stated he downgraded media-libs/alsa-lib media-plugins/alsa-plugins media-sound/alsa-utils from 1.1.8 to 1.1.6 and his problem was resolved.
