Lost my account info. Can I get back in somehow?

I have lost my account info. Is there a way for you to verify that I'm a member by e-mailing something to the address on my account, or something?

email your username and the email on the account to forum-mods@gentoo.org.
If you don't remember it all, tell us what you do remember.

Do not include your password, it won't help anyway as the database stores password hashes.

Now that I've gotten back into my real account, I can't find a way to delete this temporary account.

Two things: first, we can merge it with your normal account, mostly by reassigning posts and PMs; second, for future reference (in this case for those stumbling upon this in the future), you can contact us via the e-mail address which is on virtually every public page of this site or by way of the #gentoo-forums irc channel (but please, wait for a private /query to pass along anything beyond that you need help recovering an account) for this sort of problem.
