question to all thinkpad owners:
does your ac-adapter (the external one) also make a stange noise ???
when connected, it sounds like a vibrator or so
i googled for it and found some people with the same issue, but now i wonder how many of you have this problem.
thanks,
cu nabla
btw: i have an european ac-adapter (240V~ to 16 V-) |

no noise here and no vibration, are you sure its your AC Adapter and not your mothers l33t IBM Vibrator? :)
To make sure sit on it, if it makes you happy then you should go to your mom and ask for your AC Adapter back. ;))

In our class there are several IBM notebooks (including 3 t40p) and none of them has a vibrating AC Adapter. Under circumstances (compiling and charging battery) the AC Adapter has a high pitch sound.

i've got a couple TP600E motherboards that buzz when plugged in. they won't even boot anymore. haven't had that problem with an adapter itself yet. _________________ ----------------------------------------
