Hello all,
I have followed all the forum's advice and I still cannot get my touchpad for my Gentoo Linux system on Asus gaming laptop GL503 VD.
After installing Gentoo with 4.17.9 Kernel, I am able to boot to an Xorg screen using TWM and the 'intel' driver.
However, the trackpad is at a standstill.
Additionally, my sytem does not detect the trackpad (lspci, lshw, xinput, or libinput)
I upgraded to kernel 5.1.3 and selected all HID, Synaptics, Elan, I2C options, yet it still will not detect.
Windoze gives me this, under properties of "Asus Precision Touchpad" --
Device HID\ELAN1200&Col02\5&35adf766&0&0001
Any ADVICE for a semi-beginner with Linux and Gentoo?
Thanks!
