Hi everybody. I'm back to the forums after several years of absence to ask about the audio configuration of my new notebook.
I recently bought a core i7-9750H (cannon lake) notebook that comes with an integrated intel card and an Nvidia 1660ti (which I couldn't avoid... I actually have no use for discrete graphics).
I almost got everything to work, but sound still gives me some problems.
I have an integrated intel HDA (realtek) ALC1220 and an Nvidia audio card that should be coupled with the video card. The last one is still unsupported by nouveau and I didn't bother to install the proprietary driver.
To make the intel audio works, I had to add the following options to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf
Code: | options snd cards_limit=3
options snd-hda-intel model=no-primary-hp power_save=1
|
Whith the above setup sound works, however I have to unmute headphones (and rise the volume) to make audio from the speakrs work. This is not a major problem, however I'm curions if there is a way to solve it.
Do someone have an experience with audio drivers?
Here is some hardware info:
