Topic: Problem with booting a new board and/or new drive
Post: post 8303226
Reason: The UEFI documentation is indeed lacking, and the systemd documentation even more so. Even so, a "guru" talking down to people trying to follow the official documentation is inexcusable.
Suggesting more effective means of finding fixes for problems hardly seems "inexcusable". Also, as with your previous account, I have removed the profile link to your business site. -- desultory |

desultory, are you suggesting that using google instead of fixing the gentoo documentation so that simple things that come up on 99% of installs is the preferred method? While I do acknowledge that this is in line with what happened to the package archive back in the day, where there was a bug in the search feature, they just removed the search feature and posted an "all good now" post. And also in alignment with the bug that I asked about in dlm that was submitted in 2014, and marked confirmed in 2017, but has not made any progress since being submitted. None of these things are helping to make the distro better, which I am sure we are all in agreement on, is what our goal is. _________________ 4x Asus B450M-A

That suggestion is largely orthogonal to individual specific updates to the wiki at large or even the handbook in specific.
EDIT (pjp, 2019.07.04.): Split from the report thread. 5+ months has passed with no other posts than these from SteveBavalis. --pjp |
