I'm having wierd effects on my text-consoles under 2.6.0-test9-mm5. when it scrolls, I often get wierd brown stripes, and its reactions to deletion and backspaces mid-line are graphically wrong, though they react correctly in the buffer (memory) and look wrong on the screen. This second part is particularly a problem in nano. is this just NeoMagic or even just Thinkpad 600/600E? Or is it a more general kernel-driver problem? maybe I'm just doing something wrong. thanks _________________ ----------------------------------------

The answer is to use the VESA driver instead. The NeoMagic driver is crappy. |

the neomagic driver in 2.6 is _really_ crappy.
either use 2.4 with neomagic, or use vesa in 2.6 _________________ Computer science is no more about computers than astronomy is about telescopes. |
