When I close the cover of my Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop, the monitor goes off like it should... however, when I reopen it the monitor does NOT go back on... it goes back on when I press Ctrl+Alt+F1 and switch to a console, then switch back to X, but how do I get it so I don't need to take that extra step? |

BTW I'm using the 2.6 test9 kernel if that makes a difference...
Anyone have any ideas? |

Are you using either apm or acpi?
What are your relevant BIOS settings? |
