hey, i was wondering if gentoo's livecd will work with my 802.11g built-in net card im gna have when i get my notebook (eMachine M5312) so i can install it using the wireless net; if not, then would the wlan drivers work with it? thnx!!

Short answer (NO).
Broadcom is refusing to offer any help towards linux drivers. I have been able to make the driver work through ndiswrapper (http://ndiswrapper.sf.net) and driverloader (http://www.linuxant.com).
I have the same laptop and I am enjoying it quite a bit. It is a great buy. |
