I am trying to create a live cd to show off some of the latest technologies for linux. Those are namely:
livecd's (go figure)
2.6 kernel
kde 3.2
KP's new Xserver
I am trying to use these instructions to remaster a knoppix CD (I couldn't get livecd-ng to work either). I plan on converting it to gentoo in some form. However, I get stuck at part1 step6. I can't get it to boot from the hard drive. More specifically, It boots but gives me an error saying it cant find the knoppix image. btw I am using GRUB not lilo.
I don't really expect anyone to be able to help but....

I found the answer (as usual) about 2 seconds after posting here. If anyone is interested the problem was I was using reiserfs. I reformated as ext2 and it worked fine. |
