emerge --info '=app-emulation/vmware-modules-361.1.0::stefantalpalaru' is here.
Code: | $ emerge -pqv =app-emulation/vmware-modules-361.1.0::stefantalpalaru
[ebuild R ] app-emulation/vmware-modules-361.1.0 [361.1.0]
|
The complete build log is here.
Any debugging hints will be gratefully received.
[SOLVED] The Doctor, below, explained that since this is part of an overlay, one must wait for the overlay owner to update the ebuild. [/SOLVED]
[EDIT] As of Sep. 18, 2019 the overlay has been updated and emerges successfully. [/EDIT]

moved to Unsupported Software as this is a problem with overlay software and not officially supported --The Doctor
Unfortunately these modules are kernel specific and due to the nature of vmware there is nothing to be done. You will either have to wait for upstream and stefantalpalaru to bump the version or roll your own ebuild.
You may also be able to find an overlay with a more up to date version (if any).
EDIT: Actually, I seem to recall being able to build the appropriate modules in the kernel and not need to use the package at all. It has been a while since I played with this. _________________ First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
Apologies if I take a while to respond. I'm currently working on the dematerialization circuit for my blue box. |

Just "vmw_vmci" and "vsock" have been upstreamed. You still need "vmmon" and "vmnet" from VMware. |
