|
|
Hi all,
I emerged wine and winex, installed sof2 on xp then ran it using wine on linux.
The single player version works perfectly, sound and speed brilliant
( winex SoF2.exe )
but the multiplayer has no sound at all
( winex SoF2MP.exe )
if i run MP with standard wine i get sound but no keyboard usage in the game!! )
Wondered if anyone else has had this problem, id love to use the rpm but cant afford the transgame subscription :\
Ive tried changing all the sound libs from /usr/wine/ to /usr/winex etc and its made no difference,
Anyone have a tip or soloution? i cant understand why it would work fine in single player but not at all in multiplayer.
Many thanks in advance _________________ And no, my name has nothing to do with the linux distribution i use |

DX grab was already set to Y, i think this is just for the mouse anyway..
Both my winex and wine config files are identicle...
There must be some real strange reason why it will work in single player and not multiplayer, and why it will work in wine but not winex....
Its a mystery. _________________ And no, my name has nothing to do with the linux distribution i use |

... I found this on the Transgaming forum (http://www.transgaming.com/postlist.php?forum=438):
Quote: | Ive just begun using linux (mdk9.1) over the last few days (sick of ms) and have installed winex3 and SOF2. Everything was perfect but no sound. In the config, near the bottom there is an option for 'full duplex'. Mine was set to N, changed to Y and all is good. |
Hope that helps! =) |
